Mark Hirshorn
Director of Capital Markets
Mark has been involved in a wide variety of complex financing transactions in both the bank and capital markets. During his career, he has been successful in initiating and expanding profitable business lines and enhancing reputation in the marketplace with clients and investors. Prior to joining Legacy Benefits, Mark was a Director of US Securitization at Fortis Securities LLC, a broker dealer subsidiary of Fortis Bank S.A./N.V. At Fortis Securities, he launched their securitization activities in the United States and developed innovative, asset-backed structures to provide financing to the bank’s clients.
Before joining Fortis, Mark managed the US Securitization team at HVB Group. In that capacity, he was responsible for formulating the business strategy as well as for the origination, structuring and risk underwriting of the bank’s securitization financings. Mark has also spent several years with another international bank, as well as with a prestigious consulting firm.
Mark holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Cornell University and a BS in Mathematics from Dickinson College.
